The Board of Stonegate Community Ecumenical Ministry is pleased to announce the appointment of the Reverend Linda Dixon as Director. Rev. Dixon brings to the position a wealth of work and volunteer experience from the Christian church, and across the social and public sectors. An effective speaker, a proficient writer and an experienced trainer and facilitator of groups, this leader is a capable communicator who is already partnering with churches and groups to strengthen the community, fortify local churches and impact the area for Jesus Christ.

An ordained Methodist minister, who has solid not-for-profit experience, she is passionately committed to, "Leading people to take their rightful place and to contribute positively in every aspect of society and life". Linda Dixon has a strategy to accomplish this worthy goal: "Every person on earth is uniquely chosen by God and has a call from God in some area of their life", she explains. "It is essential therefore," continues Dixon, "to help every person grasp the knowledge of God's love in Jesus Christ for them personally and also to work with them in order to identify their unique call and eliminate obstacles to fulfilling it."

Compassionate and skilful, this Director understands the effects poverty, inadequate housing, literacy challenges and lack of food security can have on individuals and families. Her training equips her with solid skills to make positive changes. Linda is married to Glenn, who is also an ordained minister. The two have recently returned to the city of Toronto after living and pastoring in Eastern Ontario.

Rev. Dixon is available to speak to community, school and church groups. She is also available for pulpit supply to partnering churches. Please contact the Stonegate Community Ecumenical Ministry office to book a speaking engagement.
