Stonegate Ministry is an alliance of local Christian churches working in partnership with the community through shared resources, offering programs and opportunities to build healthy relationships, strong families, and sense of belonging and a deeper relationship with God. We endeavor to address the needs of the whole person and families to bridge toward a better life and to be a faithful voice to ensure everyone in the community is treated with justice and Christian compassion.
New programs and events have been developed to meet the needs of community members. Many of the programs are geared towards caring for the new social needs of the community that have evolved from our post-pandemic economic, and social challenges. Our programs cater to the restoration of mental health, overall health and wellness for seniors, and recent emphasis on financial literacy education. We are excited about the implementation of our newest program with World System Builder providing weekly access to information and resources that will prepare young people for adulthood, adults for retirement and families for their children’s post-secondary education and emergency funding. We continue to grow programs that are impacting our youth with literacy and others such as our Get Reading program which provides age-appropriate books and ESL learning tools to assist new refugees with English.
Stonegate Ministry successfully met the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have re-opened our doors and returned to in-person sessions and activities for most of our programs. The need for our programs and resources has increased significantly in recent years and we are responding by exploring ways to expand our program reach and to engage with new partners.
